Substations we buy in North Las Vegas
North Las Vegas sits in Nevada, where NV Energy, Valley Electric Association, Overton Power District feed the load and I-15, I-80, Highway 95 and Highway 93 carry the freight. Both facts land in your number: a site near those corridors costs us less to service and the saving shows up in the offer rather than our margin. If the North Las Vegas equipment is still carrying load, we phase it. What it is worth
Three things drive the number: condition, whether the equipment is still supported, and copper content. A medium-voltage line-up with current vacuum breakers and a recent test report prices as reusable equipment. Nevada note
Nevada has fewer cities than any other state on this site and more electrical equipment per city than most. Las Vegas is the reason: casino and resort properties carry building electrical systems on the scale of small industrial plants, and renovation, rebranding and demolition cycles on the Strip and downtown release switchgear, switchboards, transformers and generator sets in quantity and on short notice. Add the convention and arena infrastructure, the hospital build-out across the valley, and the warehouse and distribution corridor toward North Las Vegas that serves the whole Southwest. Reno and Sparks are the industrial half of the state — the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center, battery and vehicle manufacturing, data centers, and the logistics operations that exist because Nevada can reach California overnight without California costs. Mining across the Carlin Trend and the Humboldt Basin runs mill and crusher installations with medium-voltage switchgear and large motor control centers, and those sites replace gear on wear rather than on age. Distances between jobs are long here, so we route Nevada work against our California and Utah schedule and pass the savings into the offer.

What happens to the equipment after you buy it?
Serviceable gear is tested, reconditioned where needed and resold as replacement equipment — that resale is what funds your offer. What cannot go back into service is dismantled for copper, aluminum and steel recovery through permitted processors, with regulated fractions documented.
Do you buy equipment that is still energized and in service?
Yes, and most of what we buy is. We quote it now and remove it on your cutover date. Telling us at the quote stage which North Las Vegas assets are still live lets us build the phasing and the clearance coordination into the schedule from the beginning.
Our electrical room is in a basement with a tight door. Is that a problem?
It is routine. Switchgear sections, transformers and gensets frequently have to be cut down or partially disassembled to clear a door width, an elevator limit or a stair turn. The access survey at your North Las Vegas site establishes the path before we commit to a date, and that cost is already inside the offer.
Will you take the equipment we cannot sell along with the good items?
Yes, and this is usually why sellers choose us. Cherry-picking leaves you holding the leftovers of the leftovers. We price the North Las Vegas lot as a whole — good gear, obsolete gear and the scrap fraction together — so the electrical room ends up genuinely empty.
