Seattle, WA: Panelboards & Switchboards Purchase and Removal

Our Washington routing runs along I-5, I-90, I-405 and Highway 2, which keeps trailer and crew cost predictable on Seattle projects. Utility territory matters too — Puget Sound Energy, Seattle City Light, Tacoma Power, Avista, Snohomish County PUD, Chelan and Grant County PUDs each have their own clearance, metering and disconnect expectations, and we have worked inside them. Washington splits at the Cascades and the two halves produce completely different equipment. West of the mountains the work is aerospace and marine: Boeing and its supplier base around Everett, Renton and Auburn, the Puget Sound shipyards and naval facilities, the container terminals at Seattle and Tacoma, and a dense stock of older industrial buildings along the Duwamish being converted or demolished. Hospital and university plants in Seattle replace essential-power systems on documented programs, which is the kind of paperwork that moves an offer up. East of the Cascades is where the heavy gear is: aluminum smelting legacy at Wenatchee and Goldendale, food processing across the Columbia Basin, the Hanford site and its contractors, and the hydro-fed data center corridor at Quincy and Wenatchee that runs on cheap power and upgrades on a fast cycle. The public utility districts matter here in a way they do not in most states — Chelan, Grant, Douglas and Snohomish own their own distribution, so clearance procedures and surplus disposal practices vary by district and we plan for that rather than being surprised by it.

If the Seattle equipment is still carrying load, we phase it. Usually that means dead sections and spares first, then distribution as circuits are released, then the main line-up once the last feeder is isolated. The phasing goes into the offer so nobody is improvising in an energized room at two in the morning.
