Ontario, CA: Industrial Electrical Equipment Bought and Removed

Coverage in Ontario is run off our California routing along I-5, I-10, I-15, I-80, I-210 and Highway 99. Coordination with Pacific Gas and Electric, Southern California Edison, San Diego Gas and Electric, LADWP, SMUD, Imperial Irrigation District on clearances, metering removal and final disconnect is part of the scope, not a change order. California is not one buying territory, it is four. The Los Angeles basin and the Inland Empire run on aerospace and defense plants that have been consolidating since the Cold War ended, film and studio infrastructure, and the largest warehouse and cold-storage build-out in the country — which retires perfectly serviceable switchboards and unit substations on tenant-fit cycles rather than at end of life. The Central Valley from Bakersfield to Stockton is agricultural processing, packing houses, cotton gins, dairies and oilfield infrastructure, where pump-station transformers and motor control centers come out in volume and freight distance to the coast is what shapes the number. The Bay Area is semiconductor fabs, biotech, and the constant conversion of light industrial buildings to lab space, which produces clean, well-documented gear with legible nameplates. Northern California and the Sierra foothills are dominated by utility wildfire-mitigation and undergrounding programs, and PG&E distribution equipment coming off those programs is a genuine and continuing source. Two things shape almost every California job: seismic anchoring means the gear is braced and bolted far more heavily than in the East, and the state is long enough that scheduling is a routing problem, not a clearance problem.

If the Ontario equipment is still carrying load, we phase it. Usually that means dead sections and spares first, then distribution as circuits are released, then the main line-up once the last feeder is isolated. The phasing goes into the offer so nobody is improvising in an energized room at two in the morning.
